Healthcare has long attracted both capital and attention from venture-capital firms, a trend that intensified as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. However, heavy regulation, shifting healthcare priorities and the long time horizons associated with drug development often make investing in this sector a complex business. We asked a handful of venture-capital professionals who invest in healthcare to share their thoughts on the challenges the industry faces, how the pandemic has affected it and what excites them most about the future.
